ConservAmerica: 30x30: Biden's ambitious goal to conserve 30% of America's land & waters by 2030

Section 216 of President Biden's Executive Order on "Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad," directs the Secretary of the Interior, in consultation with the Secretaries of Agriculture and Commerce, and the Chair of the Council on Environmental Quality, to develop recommendations that the United States should take to achieve the goal of conserving at least 30 percent of our lands and waters by 2030.

Some have called this Biden's conservation Moonshot that, if successful, could yield positive investments for generations to come for protecting biodiversity and wildlife populations. With approximately 70 percent of lands in the United States under private ownership, collaborative engagement with ranchers, farmers, foresters, industry and other private landowners is pivotal for the overall success of this ambitious effort.
